"And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd". John 10:16

Do you ever feel like you are not sure about how to start a conversation with those of Muslim faith? Too often Christians avoid or fear Muslims. We would like to offer you a resource that will equip you to lovingly approach Muslims, understand where they are coming from, and with gentleness and respect, share the hope you have in Christ. This course is intended to improve your understanding of Islam and open your hearts to those of Muslim faith.

Course outline:

  • Islam Origin & History I: Religions in the Arabic Peninsula before Islam, Muhammad Calling, influential forces and ideology that shaped Islam
  • Islam Origin & History II: Origin of Qur’an & Hadith
  • Islam Overview & Theology: Beliefs, Doctrines of God, Man & Sin, Doctrines of Prophets and Scripture
  • The Nature of Islam & Muslim Ideology: Jihad
  • Understanding the Islamic Sharia Law
  • Women in Islam
  • Answering Top Muslim Misconception about Christianity
  • Reaching Out To Your Muslim Friend

The course will be facilitated by Dr. Amal Gendi who serves with ICM (In Canada Ministries) of PIONEERS Canada as a missionary theologian and their Muslim ministries coordinator.

Dr. Gendi has been serving as a Dean of Training with PALM (Preparing Arab-world Leaders for Ministry) since 2010. He also serves as an adjunct Professor at Heritage College & Seminary in Cambridge, Ontario, as a part-time teacher at Tyndale Seminary & College in Toronto, and as a visitor Professor at JETS (Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary), Amman, Jordan.

His current focus is to equip BMBs (Believers from Muslim Background) for local ministry and to serve the Arab world church in Discipleship and Leadership Development. In Canada, his primary focus is to equip the Canadian church to understand Islam and to engage with Muslims for Christ.
